This state-funded tax credit provides an average of $180 to qualifying households, often applied directly to utility bills. Eligible residents, including those meeting income requirements, should apply before the deadline. Free tax preparation services are available for individuals earning less than $64,000 annually, those with disabilities, or limited English proficiency.
