Free Breast & Cervical Cancer Screenings in Kalamazoo County

Kalamazoo County Health & Community Services is the Local Coordinating Agency (LCA) #15 for Michigan’s Breast & Cervical Cancer Control Navigation Program (BC3NP), offering essential health services to women who qualify.

Services Offered:

  • Free mammograms
  • Clinical breast exams
  • Pap smears and pelvic exams
  • Follow-up care and medical referrals
  • Cancer treatment support

Available in the Following Counties:

Allegan, Berrien, Branch, Calhoun, Cass, Clinton, Eaton, Genesee, Gratiot, Ingham, Jackson, Kalamazoo, Lapeer, Shiawassee, St. Joseph, and Van Buren.

BC3NP Eligibility (as of January 2024):

  • Women age 40-64 for breast screening, diagnostic, and treatment services
  • Women age 21-64 for cervical screening, diagnostic, and treatment services
  • Women age 25-39 for breast diagnostic services
  • No insurance coverage for screening or diagnostics (including high deductible plans)
  • Michigan residents, including migrant workers and non-citizens
  • Income limits based on family size:
    • Family of 1: $37,650
    • Family of 2: $51,100
    • Family of 3: $64,550
    • Family of 4: $78,000
    • Add $13,450 for each additional family member
