Bronson Opens New Urgent Care in Downtown Kalamazoo
Bronson Healthcare has opened Bronson Urgent Care at 940 John St, conveniently located near Bronson Methodist Hospital in downtown Kalamazoo. This new facility provides walk-in care for both adults and children ages 3 months and older, offering treatment for common illnesses and non-life-threatening injuries such as minor fractures, sprains, ear infections, cold/flu symptoms, and minor burns or cuts.
Open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., it aims to help alleviate congestion in the hospital’s emergency department, where 30% of visits could be handled at an urgent care facility.
Bronson Urgent Care features on-site X-rays and diagnostic testing, and if a patient requires a higher level of care, they will be transferred to the emergency department, ensuring continuity as both are managed by the same emergency medicine providers.
