At Van Buren/Cass District Health Department, we offer a comprehensive range of vaccines for adults, following ACIP schedules.

What We Offer:

  • Routine Vaccines: All routinely recommended immunizations for adults.
  • MI-AVP Program: Vaccines for adults aged 19 and older, focusing on high-risk populations.
  • COVID-19 Vaccines: Available year-round.
  • Flu Vaccines: Offered at community clinics in the fall and at our regularly scheduled clinics.

Dowagiac Clinic: 1st & 3rd Wednesday of each month

Lawrence Clinic: Every Thursday

Walk-Ins: May be accommodated based on availability.

Download Immunization Records: Adults can download their State of Michigan immunization record through the Michigan Immunization Portal.

Travel Vaccines

We do not provide travel vaccines.

MI-AVP Adult Vaccine Program

MI-AVP Program for Adults 19 and Over: You may qualify for certain vaccines if:

  • You have no insurance coverage for immunizations.
  • You have an unmet Michigan Medicaid spenddown.
  • You have a specific high-risk condition.

Fees:

  • $23 administration fee per vaccine, max $69 out-of-pocket.
  • If you cannot pay the full fee, you can pay what you can; no one will be denied services. Fees may be waived.

Insurance and Payment

Privately Insured: We accept select private insurance plans. Provide your insurance details when scheduling for verification.

Fees:

  • $23 administration fee per injection, plus vaccine cost.
  • You are responsible for any amount not covered by insurance.
