Senior Veteran Expo – May 5 in Mattawan

Join the Mattawan Lions Club and community partners for the upcoming Senior Veteran Expo—a free event designed to connect older adults with helpful services, local programs, and free giveaways.

The Van Buren/Cass District Health Department (VBCDHD) will be on-site with the following services:

Flu and COVID Vaccines
Vaccines will be available to individuals who meet eligibility based on their insurance coverage. Please bring your insurance card. VBCDHD staff will review insurance information on-site. If your plan covers our services, we can provide your vaccine at the event. If not, we will refer you to your primary care provider or local pharmacy.

Senior Project Fresh Program Sign-Ups
VBCDHD’s Health Promotions team will also be there to promote the Senior Project Fresh program—a seasonal program that provides eligible seniors with coupons to purchase fresh produce at participating farmers markets. Staff will help individuals determine eligibility, sign up for the program, and answer any questions.
