Precautionary Boil Water Advisory – Eagle Lake Condos, Cass County

The Eagle Lake Condos water system has issued a precautionary boil water advisory following a temporary shutdown on December 8, 2025, to install a new flow meter. Bacteriological water samples are being collected to ensure the water is safe to drink.

This is a precautionary measure. No contaminants have been detected at this time, but the advisory is required until sample results confirm the water meets safety standards. The water system was shut down on December 8, 2025, and sampling is being conducted December 10–11, 2025.

Drinking water that may be contaminated can cause short-term health effects, such as gastrointestinal illness, especially in vulnerable populations including infants, young children, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems. All residents of Eagle Lake Condos should follow the advisory, particularly these sensitive groups.

Residents should boil water for at least 1 minute before drinking or cooking. Bottled water may also be used. Boiled or bottled water should be used for ice, brushing teeth, and preparing food. The water system is collecting bacteriological samples and will lift the advisory once results confirm the water meets safety standards.

If both samples meet safety standards, the advisory could be lifted on Friday, December 13, 2025. Updates will be provided as soon as results are confirmed.
