Children’s Special Health Care Services (CSHCS)
At Van Buren/Cass District Health Department, we support children and some adults with chronic health conditions. We provide access to specialized medical services for families facing serious health issues.
What is Children’s Special Health Care Services?
CSHCS is a Michigan-based program that offers comprehensive support to families by providing:
- Coverage and Referrals: Helps cover costs and connects you to specialists tailored to your child’s condition.
- Family-Centered Services: Empowers you as a caregiver to take an active role in your child’s health care.
- Community-Based Support: Assists with managing care at home to maintain your family’s routine.
- Culturally Competent Care: Respects and supports the cultural needs of your family.
