Area Agency on Aging of Southwest Michigan Shares July Events and Resources

The Van Buren/Cass District Health Department is proud to share upcoming programs and events offered by the Area Agency on Aging of Southwest Michigan (AAA), whose mission is Offering Choices for Independent Lives.

AAA works to help older adults maintain their independence and quality of life by providing services, education, and community resources throughout Southwest Michigan.

Dementia-Friendly Movie

Wednesday, July 8
Michigan Theatre – South Haven

Enjoy a special showing of Grease in a comfortable, dementia-friendly setting. This event is designed for individuals living with dementia, their caregivers, family members, and friends to enjoy a relaxed movie experience together.

Community Conversation About Caregiving

Tuesday, July 14
South Haven Center for the Arts

Community members are invited to participate in a conversation about caregiving as part of the Care and Window to Our World exhibitions. The discussion will explore the experiences of family caregivers across the nation and here in Southwest Michigan while connecting attendees with local resources and support.

The Van Buren/Cass District Health Department encourages older adults, caregivers, and families to take advantage of these opportunities to learn, connect, and access valuable community resources.
