Boil Water Advisory Issued for Three Manufactured Home Communities
Boil Water Advisory Issued for Three Manufactured Home Communities
The Van Buren/Cass District Health Department has been notified by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) that a Boil Water Advisory has been issued for the following manufactured home communities due to an electrical outage:
- Shady Brook Mobile Home Park – Paw Paw
- Port of Call – West – South Haven
- Marlin Village Mobile Home Park – Niles (Cass County)
Residents in these communities should boil all water used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, preparing food, and washing dishes. Bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before use. Bottled water may also be used.
The affected water systems are collecting bacterial water samples to ensure the water is safe. The Boil Water Advisory will remain in effect until testing confirms the water meets drinking water standards.
Residents should continue following the advisory until an official notice is issued that it has been lifted. The Van Buren/Cass District Health Department will share updates as they become available.
