Farmers: Apply Now to Join the 2025 Senior Project Fresh Program
The Senior Project Fresh program is back — and it’s gone digital for 2025! Farmers in Van Buren and Cass Counties are invited to participate in this valuable program that connects local growers with older adults looking for fresh, Michigan-grown produce.
The Van Buren/Cass District Health Department is a Community Partner for this program and is here to support you through the application process.
What’s New for 2025?
This year, Senior Project Fresh has fully transitioned to an electronic system using the Healthy Together app and website. That means:
- No more paper coupons or paper applications
- Online registration is required for farmers and older adults
- Applications and coupon redemptions are now managed digitally through Healthy Together
Why Participate?
By becoming an authorized Senior Project Fresh farmer, you can:
- Help local seniors access fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, mushrooms, and honey
- Receive $25 in benefits per participant through the program
- Grow your customer base by serving a wider community
- Promote healthy eating and support local agriculture
